<3 After a month of traveling around the US, I finally made it to Africa. I have limited internet access right now but just wanted to let you know I made it here safely! God is good!
I want to shout out my Milanzi family, who were at the airport to greet me with balloons and a "welcome home" sign. It definitely embodied the well known South African term 'ubuntu.' It was an amazing and heartfelt moment and I am so grateful for this opportunity to get to know this part of my family.
Lastly, I'm excited for the rest of my Fulbright cohort to arrive tomorrow and for us to start our in-country orientation! (4 of us arrived today: Marva, Amanda, Gracelin and me!)
I will write/blog more later and will include more pictures when I get a chance! Time to get used to this timezone and catch some much needed Zzzzs.
